The spring on our garage door had broken. We chose Precision due to positive reviews on Angie's List. When I called, I was elated to find out that a technician could be dispatched to my home within 30 mins. Wow! This was especially helpful since our vehicle was trapped in our garage! Kevin showed up with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. After looking over the situation, he recommended that additional parts on our garage door get replaced and updated. I'm always wary of "suggested repairs/improvements because of costs (this was a matter of spending about another $400.00), but Kevin put me at ease with his genuine & honest advice. We agreed to all of the repairs and our garage door is now working beautifully and ever so quietly! I have to give extra kudos to Kevin for NOT giving up on our garage door until it was operating to his satisfaction. We have an older door with some quirks; he got it operating as if it were brand new. His persistence, attention to detail, and taking pride in his work really made for a positive and satisfactory experience. Thank you, Kevin!

A giant spring broke on our garage door, and one of the wheels came out of the side metal railing. I used a hammer to tap the little wheel back in, but I could barely lift the door manually more than a couple of feet, and could certainly not hold it open for very long. The opener could not open it more than about a foot. It was mid afternoon, about 3 pm. I searched google for garage door repair services near Tigard, Oregon. I tried several places that looked promising, but the best response I got was a promise of a call back within an hour or so. Then I called Precision. I was able to reach a human right away, without going through a lot of automated screening, and they set an appointment up for me for the next morning. Luke (the technician who came out) was on time, pleasant and courteous, helpful and knowledgeable, explained everything very well, and even did some extra work at no charge just to make things nice for us, and he gave us a few pointers on maintenance. It was clear to me that it was important to him to provide us with a good value for our money. Our garage door used to sound like it was about to come apart at the hinges when we would open it. The way it was sounding before, I was almost afraid it was about to come crashing down on me. I guess I was probably pretty lucky I wasn't present when that spring broke! Luke replaced both giant springs and lifting cables, and applied some lubrication, among other things. He was efficient and careful in his handling of our property. Now the door operates quietly and smoothly, and seems very likely to do so for the foreseeable future.

We were very happy with the service we received from Precision. The installers showed up on time (actually a little early) and were very efficient and professional. We had an issue with the garage doors closing properly (due to the age of our openers) and Precision came back out the next day (Sunday) to help fix the problem. I would definitely recommend Precision.

I had heard about Precision Door before and since they also advertise on Angie's List I decided to try them. From the scheduler to the technician I had a pleasent experience. Victor called to let me know he was on his way. He pointed all the problems and suggested two different price options to replace the motors. After the installation he tested the openers and answered my questions. He also waived the call fee.

Garage door rebuild and new garage opener were installed faster than the estimate, area was cleaned, and everything works perfectly. My experience with Precision was awesome. My garage door broke on a Sunday evening before a National Holiday. Precision had someone at my house the next day at 8:20 am. The technician was polite, knowledgeable, and explained each step of the process. While the price was on the high side, you also get what you pay for. I would suggest PDS to anyone in need of fast reliable service. The absolutely deserve a 5 star rating.

The two-person team who came to our house was terrific (sorry, I didn't write down their names but hopefully you have it in your records). One handled sales and the other handled installation. The person who handled sales was very knowledgeable and helpful. The person who handled the installation did a very good job. The garage doors open quietly and reliably. I would definitely recommend both in the future.

I got a quote in 20 minutes. I got a new door in less than 24 hours. The price was fair (a little lower than another quote)but the timing was the most convenient.I couldn't believe it only took an hour and a half to take the old door out and install a new one. It was only then that I become aware of the superior quality of their product and the piece of junk I had that broke. Yes, they even cleaned up the place better than they found it.

One evening, when we pulled into our driveway and pressed the garage-door opener button, the garage door made a horrible grinding sound. The next day, I read several company's garage-door repair reviews on the Internet, and Precision's name and 5-star customer ratings came up over and over. I called to make an appointment (hoping that I could plead my case and get Saturday service); the Precision representative was very nice, and before I could ask if Saturday service was even possible, she told me that Victor would be at my house Saturday afternoon! Victor worked tirelessly on my 1977 garage door, and didn't stop to take a break. He rebuilt the torsion system,installed 2 cables, 2 drums, 3 new springs that could handle the heavy garage door, 12 rollers, and a new operator chain drive. He was FANTASTIC at his job! He even programmed the garage door opener for me! I give Victor and Precision 10 stars --- because 5 stars doesn't do the service justice!

We contacted Precision Door Service after the torsion spring on our garage door broke. Initially, we were only planning to get the spring replaced. Brad, the salesperson, came in to look at the door and found that the wooden door was already showing signs of rot (our house is pretty old). He suggested getting a new door to save on the cost of replacing the spring and then having to replace the door in a couple of years. We agreed to go with that, and also asked for a door opener to be installed, if possible, since we didn't have one and I really wanted to get one. Our garage has a low ceiling and the floor slopes slightly down the right side. We had been told by other contractors that installing a door opener was impossible. Brad called the installer with measurements, and was told that it might be possible. When Gerry, the installer, came in with the new door and took a look at the garage, he was confident he could get the opener installed. We were off at work and returned home when he was done, and were very pleasantly surprised to find that he has installed it. His work was very clean and neat, and he had paid a lot of attention to detail. He had noted that my husband is tall, and made sure that nothing he installed would hit my husband's head. He also fixed the retainer on the bottom of the door to be thicker on one end so the seal was good even though the floor was sloped. I have rarely seen such attention to detail in other work we have had done around our house. I am very happy with the door and the quality of installation and I would recommend the company.

These guys did a great job. Paul was my salesman - he was professional, responded to my correspondence quickly, made sure that I got exactly what I wanted, and came over a number of times before the installation to answer questions I had about the design, install etc. I've managed 7 large construction projects over the last 8 years and have unfortunately had a number of really disappointing experices with contractors. My experience with Paul on the other hand was extrememly satisfactory. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again and again. Thanks again Paul for your great service!
