I called for a Genie repair. I was told that my mother board was bad, it couldn't be replaced and I needed an entire garage door opener replacement. The replacement was professionally installed. While this was going on I called Genie. They told me that the mother board IS a replacement part. It was disappointing that I got incorrect information and I possibly ended up over paying.

I met Chuck from Precision Door right on time when he came to look at my garage door opener. I bought the first garage door opener from Precision 10 years ago. I liked their service and expertise the first time I used them. Well with time and age, style change, parts, greater efficiency is better than years ago and it would be better to buy a new opener than fix the current garage opener with parts and labor. I decided to buy a new opener. Chuck was very professional and patient while I, made my decision. He didn't preasure me he just talked about the plus and minuses between old and new. I know times are tuff. But if your like me I tried everything to make the old opener work. I spent enough of my own time trying to repair the old opener. Calling Precision was my last resort. I decided he was right for my situation and asked him to replace the old opener I had. He went over the cost, service and warranty and one hour later it was installed. Chuck was awesome from start to finish great guy and friendly. Overall great experience and I hate being preasured. So thank you, Precision Doors and most of all Chuck. I love my new garage door opener. The new opener isn't as noisy as my old opener.
