Precision Door Service (PDS) was on-time, very professional, thoroughly experienced, customer-focused, and on-budget. When our 29 year-old torsion bearing broke, we researched what to do (and not to do), left the door in the closed position, and began calling firms. Garage door springs store considerable energy and can cause BIG damage to you and surrounding area when they fail. Better to pay a reputable pro that has the right tools vs. trying to DIY and winding up in the ER. We looked through many reviews to find an experienced, highly-rated shop that looks like they'll be here for decades to come. PDS looked like a great fit, and they were able to schedule us quickly for a complimentary consult. The night before our consult, we received e-mail and text confirmations of our upcoming appointment. On the consult day, our assigned technician (R.R.) called when his ETA was 30 min from us. He was remarkably personable throughout the process - wish we had doctors as kind and wise as this person. He performed a thorough inspection, provided several options, and helped us select the path that worked best for our budget and needs. He understood we've been doing our own maintenance wherever possible, and while explaining our options, didn't pressure us for upsells that we can do ourselves. The way he presented the options was so comforting that we chose PDS on the spot and moved forward with having PDS perform the repairs. There were other components that were coming due for replacement in the next few years, so "as long as it was apart" we agreed to have PDS pre-emptively change those components out to avoid future unwelcome surprises. Upon completion, our technician tested the repaired door's operation and advised us on how to maintain it for a long life. The door now operates more quietly and smoothly than before, and the upgraded bracing, bearings, and spring look like they'll go another 29 years with regular maintenance and gentle use. We're very impressed with the whole experience, especially with how thorough our tech (R.R.) was in every aspect. If we have future garage door needs, PDS will be our first call, and our first recommendation to friends & family in need of similar help. Highly, highly recommend them.

Even though this was the basic service to check everything, oil and lubricate, make sure everything was working correctly, the technician went above and beyond and found a problem with the opener and made sure it was fixed and running before he finished up. I contacted Precision Door due to a problem with my garage door not closing. I received a service call from Chuck the next day. He was courteous, professional and friendly. After troubleshooting the garage door opener issue, Chuck explained to me the options available for both repair and replacing the unit. I felt in the long run that the replacement option was the best and that it was a reasonable price. Chuck finished replacing it in about 45 minutes and did a great job.

We have been customers of Precision Garage Door Service for several years. We have had them out for various reasons and each time the technicians have been very kind, efficient at discovering the problem and always have a great solution. I appreciate that they do not use high pressure sales techniques. They will let you know what needs to be taken care of at the time and what can wait. Today we moved forward with two new garage door openers. They had the products in stock in their van and were able to install while they were out so we could use our garage door again, all on the same day! From the time I called to the time they arrived, it was about 2 1/2 hours. Amazing! Chuck was our technician today. He was great! Very personable and did a fabulous job with the opener installs and also took the extra time to make sure we were all set before he left, familiarizing us with the new technology and the warranties. We had Scott last time and he was equally fantastic and true to his words. This company is an absolute testament to treating your customers right and they will return. We will be purchasing new garage doors next! Are scheduling an estimator to come out. When our garage door wouldn’t open today my daughter mentioned how these things always happen at the worst possible times. It made me chuckle because it reminded me of one of recent Precision tv ads that says that exact same thing and follow it up with something like that is why they offer same day appointments to get you moving again. I wanted the job done asap, but I should have called around for competing quotes or negotiated a discount. The price was shockingly high for spring replacement on a double door! A little Google search after the fact leads me to believe I could have had it done at half the cost if not less.
