He mostly enjoys the troubleshooting/finding solutions aspect of the job, but really loves to converse with customers! In his spare time he supports several sporting teams including the San Francisco Giants, San Jose Sharks, San Francisco 49ers and on a local level, he is a Ducks fan. Colby enjoys the outdoors, both working and spending down time in it - that includes hunting, fishing, golfing and generally working out.

After deciding to call Precision Garage Door because of their BBB rating on line, the telephone receptionist was pleasant and scheduled an on-site appointment for me with a technician the next day, and Colby showed up on time, was capable, efficient, and a pleasure to discuss my options to repair my garage door. After making a thorough inspection of the garage door assembly, Colby effectively installed new high torsion door springs, torsion tube, and rollers. I am completely satisfied with the work that Colby did, and I will certainly contact Precision Garage Door Service in the future for door replacement or repair. Thank you, Colby!

Our garage door was damaged in a minor accident. I was able to get a next-day appointment with Precision. Colby arrived right on time and repaired the damage quickly. He answered all my questions and talked through other maintenance issues with the door. His explanations were clear, and he never pressured me to upgrade unnecessarily--he simply gave me a range of options. I appreciated his knowledge and honesty. When we are ready for upgrades or further maintenance, we will definitely call Precision.

Had an issue with our garage door keypad. Colby was dispatched. He completed the task, noticed a damage problem with one of the the roller tacks, suggested a repair, which I approved, ordered the part and completed the repair. All of this with 24 hours of my first call to Precision Door Service. Precision did the original door replacement for me in 2023, so that's why I went back to them. Very happy with them and their service and highly recommend them.

2026: Another great experience with Precision Door Service. I had to replace my old old garage door that I knew would take 8 weeks to arrive. I ordered it with Luke on February 18 and it was installed by Colby on April 22. Colby did a great job. The only glitch in the whole experience was that the installation was scheduled for a 2 hour window Wed morning and when I called as that window was closing I learned that it had been moved to the afternoon. However, I would work with Precision Door again any time I need it. 2025: I've just had excellent service again from Precision Door Service. I wrote a lengthy review below 2 years ago and I want to add that my recent experience was also excellent. David was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained all the possible causes of the problem I was having with my car garage door opener so I understood. This company has excellent technicians who are personable and great problem-solvers. 2023: My son recommended Precision Door Service to install my new garage door opener. Everything about my experience was excellent as well. I called and was scheduled for the next day. Luke and James called a half hour prior to arriving. I recently moved here and this is my first garage so I know nothing about chains and belts and springs and general maintenance. They analyzed the status of a noisy, feeble 23-year-old garage door opener. Without overwhelming me with technical jargon, they proposed 3 options and presented the pros and cons of each as well as the price. I selected the PDS Ultra 901. I also opted for new springs. Everything was installed and remote controls and keypads were programmed by 5PM. I’m extremely pleased with the result and I have a sense of security and safety with the products and with their work. I appreciated the respectful professionalism of both James and Luke in how they explained both the products and the process to me. They were conscientious and left my garage neater than it had been.

In today's climate prompt service on all things on your home does not happen often. I was shocked, to say the least of receiving service on my garage door within two hours. Scheduling a service person is usually a daunting affair, with multiple online chats, back and forth texts and even after that you're lucky enough to get someone out in a couple weeks! Colby showed up to my door the same day, analyzed what needed to be repaired on my garage door and then was able to fix the problem the SAME DAY! My garage door wasn't even this quiet when it was first installed! I highly recommend this company to anyone!

We were locked into our garage (door wouldn't open), and Precision Team was super-responsive. They answered our initial call on the first ring, had a 2-hour window scheduled within 20 minutes, and Colby arrived within 90 minutes of our call. He was courteous, professional and friendly; he quickly diagnosed the problem (broken spring) and set to work. Once finished replacing broken spring + all rollers etc., he took the time to inform us about maintenance schedule going forward, including what products to use and where / how to apply. (He also let us know that we can have this done regularly by Precision if we prefer they do it). Other than the "rude awakening" start to the day, a really positive experience -- A+!

Colby and Andrew represented the company extremely well. On time, friendly and professional. They describe everything they suggested needs to be done. Gave us 3 choices of what we could do which included to replace the whole door. However he did say our door really didn't need to be replaced even though it was 31 years old. They did the repair work in a timely fashion and swept the floor in the garage to get any ball bearing that dropped. Colby gave us his business card and said we could call him any time. He also showed us how to apply lubricant to brackets which we did not know we should have been doing. They were awesome and represented your business in the best way possible.

Colby, from Precision, awesome. He was on-site to repair the original door. During his inspection, he mentioned that the opener motor and arm were "older" than he was, almost. (1999) I decided to replace the motor/arm and am glad we did. Much more efficient and no longer a concern about the old unit.
