Garage door was popping and rattling. Part of the center panel was catching on a hinge and starting to tear. David was able to make it out the very next afternoon. After checking every bolt and hinge, watching the door go up and down, and examining the overlaps and interactions of the panels, he was able to determine the screws holding the plastic hinges in the wood were loose and stripping out. The door is over forty and pretty well put through the paces over the years. He probably could have sold me a new door right there, but he told me a set of new metal hinges would do the trick. Less than an hour later we had new hinges, the spring was tightened up, everything tight and lubed. The door goes up and down like it was new. Smooth and quiet. Now it likely will need to be replaced at some point in the future, but for now it's in great shape after the tune up. When it is time for a new door, it will absolutely be a door from Precision. We had a very old and unsafe garage door spring system that broke. Vance at Precision was quick to come out and was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He did an excellent job of thoroughly explaining solution options to someone who knows nothing about garage doors. He provided different options, gave estimated timeframes and costs, and thoroughly explained the steps he was taking along the way. Though we only went with repair work due to economic uncertainties right now, we’re looking forward to exploring possible replacement garage door options down the road. When that time comes, Precision will be who we call.

Couldn't be more pleased with the scope of work. Extremely responsive. I called to ask about opener issues. Agent said a tech was available soon. Nick called me to say he could be here in about 30 minutes. He diagnosed the remote opener failure (worn out). Programed a new remote, adjusted the spring tension, lubricated the door hinges, and repaired a loose wall pad. I received a senior/veteran discount as well. Brian Stearns was our tech who came to repair/our old overhead door. He was absolutely wonderful to work with. After an inspection, he came back to us and explained what was needed to be done was to replace our 7' rail belt, bring our door up to code-(-I'm sure it hadn't been inspected since the 90"s )and provide us with a workable remote opener. It was really such a joy to interact with someone as knowledgeable and personable as Brian.I wish every tech coming out had the same fabulous attitude. Precision will be at the top of our list should we ever need their services again!
