Last night about 10PM we heard a terribly loud noise, almost like a small explosion, coming from the garage. After looking around I realized it was the garage door torsion spring that had broken. This is the large spring that helps lift the heavy garage door. I had had Precision Garage Door Service come out to service the door about one year ago so I immediately called them, at 10:15PM, and set up an appointment today between 8 to 10 AM. At 8:00AM I received a call from the Technician, Ray G., who told me he would be here in 20 minutes, and that was exactly when he showed up. After opening the door, so I could get my car out, he did an inspection and then gave me Good, Better, Best estimates for fixing my garage door. The garage doors in the Arbor Town Homes are a relatively inexpensive door, and the springs, bearings, both in the rollers and the torsion spring bar, as well as the torsion spring have and estimated life of 6 to 9 years. We have lived here since 2006, so our spring lasted 9 years. I can highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service of Portland for when you need to get your garage door fixed. This is a very reputable and reliable outfit. They do not sell on price, they just want to make sure that a door repaired by them will last at least 10 years or more.

I was so thankful for Precision. They were able to visit our home on a holiday weekend, the same day I called…what a relief! Aaron performed an inspection and gave us a realistic recommendation for what needed to be fixed. He was honest and definitely knew his stuff! Brad B was very cordial and friendly. He identified the problem right away. Also, he helped set up my home link on my car. I had tried to set it up, but I could not get it to work, so I never used it. I will definitely call Precision Doors for any problems or replacement I encounter with my garage door or opener!

Should I need a new garage door opener thought I would definitely go with them.

Branden was very good at explaining what was wrong with our old garage door opener as well as the service which was needed on the existing door.We replaced the opener and basically had the entire door rebuilt.After all the work was done we were amazed at just how smooth and quiet the new set up was. The job was neatly and professionally done. We are very pleased with the results.

Aaron of Precision Overhead Garage Door Service was great and gave me all my options on how to fix the problem with my garage door. We have used Precision on three occasions, one Sunday and one Saturday included. They arrived when they said they would, made the necessary repairs, and the charges were fair. Kevin was professional, knowledgeable, and took care of our latest issue (broken spring) and made a few suggestions on maintenance to help prolong the life of the door. When we have our next garage door issue (not for a good long while, I hope) we'll call Precision.

I had a broken torque master system. Precision came within 24 hours to assess the damage. No repair option but recommended two options to replace: 1) Lifetime warranty $699 2) 3 year warranty $350. Victor was pleasant and did not get defensive at my astonishment at the repair bid prices. I went with the lower priced option which was obviously better in all physical characteristics than the original one it replaced. I'm pleased with what I got.

This company is absolutely the best company I have ever dealt with. They are usually able to come within the hour. Their technicians are always professional and helpful. I was offered three options. I am soooo happy that I chose to replace the broken motor unit (not sure what it is called). The new unit is magnificent!! It is o quiet and smooth. Branden was efficient and helpful. I was thrilled to be able to get someone to come the same day that the spring broke. Alex was very courteous, patient and knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure talking with him. I was in a hurry to get a new garage door installed because my old garage door bottom panel fell off. Precision was the only company that could come out that same day that I called. When Victor showed up from Precision he explained everything, a super nice guy. Within a few days I had a beautiful new garage door installed by two installers, Jess and Ray who was very nice and knew what they were doing. I would recommend Precision to anyone! Thank you!
