When Kevin pulled up to our very old house in Sellwood I told him this job will be a nightmare. Our old garage had settled over the years and the garage door was broken and crooked. An overhead door spring broke Saturday afternoon on a heavy, 16x7, insulated metal door. I called several companies from Angie's List, but Precision was the only one that would fix the spring on Saturday. Based on Ed's inspection of the 20-yr old door, both springs, center bearings, all rollers, cables and cable drums were replaced. He re-aligned one of the rails and balanced the door, allowing the opener to operate with greater ease. Ed is professional, easy to talk with, who did a great job in less than 2 hours. I would recommend Precision Door Service to anybody.

The spring on our garage door had broken. We chose Precision due to positive reviews on Angie's List. When I called, I was elated to find out that a technician could be dispatched to my home within 30 mins. Wow! This was especially helpful since our vehicle was trapped in our garage! Kevin showed up with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. After looking over the situation, he recommended that additional parts on our garage door get replaced and updated. I'm always wary of "suggested repairs/improvements because of costs (this was a matter of spending about another $400.00), but Kevin put me at ease with his genuine & honest advice. We agreed to all of the repairs and our garage door is now working beautifully and ever so quietly! I have to give extra kudos to Kevin for NOT giving up on our garage door until it was operating to his satisfaction. We have an older door with some quirks; he got it operating as if it were brand new. We employed Precision Door Service to fix a broken spring on one of our garage doors. I rather suspected that, since our house is 23 years old, that we just might consider replacing all three springs and the openers. Kevin came out and we discussed these possibilities. I called Precision when my old garage door opener finally quit. Aaron came out to install a new opener and also inspected our door. He found the door out of balance, 2 stripped panel hinges and some frozen rollers. After installation of the new belt drive opener, and addressing the door issues, the door is now amazingly QUIET!!! It is so quiet that I have to look and check that the door is actually working! The door operates better than when it was new. Precision exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

A giant spring broke on our garage door, and one of the wheels came out of the side metal railing. I used a hammer to tap the little wheel back in, but I could barely lift the door manually more than a couple of feet, and could certainly not hold it open for very long. The opener could not open it more than about a foot. It was mid afternoon, about 3 pm. I searched google for garage door repair services near Tigard, Oregon. I tried several places that looked promising, but the best response I got was a promise of a call back within an hour or so. Then I called Precision. I was able to reach a human right away, without going through a lot of automated screening, and they set an appointment up for me for the next morning. Luke (the technician who came out) was on time, pleasant and courteous, helpful and knowledgeable, explained everything very well, and even did some extra work at no charge just to make things nice for us, and he gave us a few pointers on maintenance. It was clear to me that it was important to him to provide us with a good value for our money. Our garage door used to sound like it was about to come apart at the hinges when we would open it. The way it was sounding before, I was almost afraid it was about to come crashing down on me. I guess I was probably pretty lucky I wasn't present when that spring broke! Luke replaced both giant springs and lifting cables, and applied some lubrication, among other things. He was efficient and careful in his handling of our property. Now the door operates quietly and smoothly, and seems very likely to do so for the foreseeable future.

We were very happy with the service we received from Precision. The installers showed up on time (actually a little early) and were very efficient and professional. We had an issue with the garage doors closing properly (due to the age of our openers) and Precision came back out the next day (Sunday) to help fix the problem. Hello, We just had our garage door serviced with a coupon purchased from AAA. I wanted to drop a line to comment on what nice service we received. The technician was thorough in explaining the work that was required to get the garage door to tip-top working shape. I declined the full work for today and he completed the maintenance covered by the coupon with care. The garage door is operating much better that it was and we are quite happy with the service we received. When we are ready to do the full rebuild , we will be calling Precision Door Service.
