Precision was wonderful to work with. I have never used this company before but am now a forever customer. My garage door spring broke late one evening. I called at 7am and Colby was at my house a little after 8am for the repair. He was personable and efficient - replacing the springs and completed some overdue general maintenance quickly. I felt pricing was fair. I highly recommended this company.

Called Precision Garage Doors on a Monday morning for overhead door spring replacement. They had an appointment that afternoon. Brian Stearns came out within their estimated time to check out the problem. In his assessment, he found not only the broken torsion spring but that one lift cable was frayed and the tube bearings were disintegrating. Brian was personable with clear communication and performed the work professionally. Thank you Brian for finding the additional problems and correcting same before there were fuurther/future issues.! Wow! called Precision at 1300 yesterday for bid to replace old garage door opener. Joe, a very professional, friendly and installer arrived 45 min later. After we talked about what I was looking for, he assessed current set up, presented 4 or 5 options and price ranges to fit my budget and situation. To my surprise about 4 hours later, all done! (new openers, rollers, springs, outside lock boxes, etc) Workspace was left clean, he instructed us on how to use, answered all questions, I appreciated his sense of humor, job knowledge and eagerness to get the job done right. New openers are whisper quiet and smooth as butter, I highy recommend Precision, excellent customer service!!

Over the years we have had several different garage door repair businesses service our garage door. David Heath, with Precision Garage Door Service in Portland is, by far, the most knowledgeable and proficient of the techs who have worked on our door. Our door was spontaneously reversing itself on the down travel, and David correctly diagnosed the problem as a tired consumer-grade opener motor which had been incorrectly programmed to its highest power level, which wore the motor out prematurely. Precision Garage Door installs only top quality hardware, and, while the price for the LiftMaster opener David installed for us caused me some sticker shock, we are delighted with the operation of our new opener. This opener has internal battery backup in the event of a power outage, a camera, and WiFi connection, so the opener’s status is reported to my phone. I can even open and close the door using the dedicated app on my phone. All of these features of course add to the cost of the unit. David also did a tuneup on the door and confirmed correct operation of all the safety components and took the time to exercise the new opener multiple times to verify satisfactory operation. In summary, I am happy to recommend Precision Garage Door Services to anyone needing garage door servicing. (Sorry, the photo of the opener is kind of “blown out” due to the brightness of the LED light surrounding it. I took a video of the door opening and closing to show the quietness of the unit, but Google won’t accept the video due to the size of the file).

Great service! I love it when service companies show up on time, as promised and the job started with Trey doing just that. He then proceeded to diagnose the problem I had while checking on the integrity of the twin garage doors. I knew they needed work and he confirmed that. I accepted his reasonable quote and he got the whole job done on both doors within two hours. Great service, thank you!

Your technician removed wall board along the top and sides of the garage door. The studs and the gaps between them are now exposed allowing outside ambient air to flow into the garage. I will need to hire a contractor to replace the wall board that was removed in order to seal up the garage and restore the status quo ante. This will have to be done at some point in order to sell the house. I cannot recommend your company because of this.

On a late Sunday afternoon, I heard a loud crashing sound from within our garage. It turns out the coiled tension spring had snapped in two. I looked online and decided to book an appointment with Precision Garage Door Service. I was surprised to see that I was easily able to schedule an appointment for the very next morning between 10am and noon. The online scheduling was convenient and easy to use. The next morning, I was contacted via text at 930am and told my technician (Chuck) was on his way. Chuck was prompt, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly assessed our needed repairs as well as the overall condition of all components and provided us three estimates ranging from minimum repair to complete overhaul. Our house is 15 years old the garage door and components were all original. It shook, banged and vibrated every time it was opened and closed. But not anymore. It is now whisper quiet and no more vibrations. Once everything was installed and working, Chuck took time to explain how to operate and program everything, provided preventative maintenance tips and cleaned up afterward. I am impressed with Precision Garage Door Service, and I would not hesitate to call them again.
